About Me

Summary

My name is Davide Vitelaru, I am from Romania, Slobozia. I was born on November 1993. I am a software developer. I started programming in the 9th grade when I just started to learn some Pascal (programming language) at school, after that I bought a book about C++ and thaught myself programming.

I like to create, I am a very creative person, it doesn’t matter if it’s a software application, a website, a drawing or anything else, the satisfaction I get when I finish and look at my result is priceless. Since one of the easiest ways to create “stuff” these days is by using a computer, which might be the reason why I like programming so much.

I have developed a few applications that I have also published, the most popular among them probably is “Digital Janitor 5.0” (it can be found on the internet on several websites including mines). It was not that hard to create, but it grew in popularity surprisingly fast. All the applications I have developed were 100% made by me, even though I would love to cooperate with others to create software, I could not find a lot of people sharing my passion, which had time for that, or willing to team-work.

I like to share my knowledge with others, I have created a few tutorials regarding various topics (how to use a Linux-based operating system, programming) both video and text. I learned by myself most of the things I know related to computers thanks to the internet and to the books I found.

I like challenges, if I find a solution to a problem that is hard to implement and there is no other way, I will do my best trying to implement it. I would even write an operating system from scratch if I had all the knowledge necessary, even if it would take me a while (I do know what this would involve though).

I usually spend my free time outside with friends, doing exercises, reading books, playing the guitar, or watching television. I spend little time at the computer (unless I am programming). I don’t play video games and I don’t really use social networking websites. I like sports; I played tennis when I was little, then fencing and then judo that I am still practicing.
